The client for this beautiful House of Barnaart was the immensely wealthy merchant Willem Philip. The interior is not only decorated but also furnished according to the latest fashion of the time. The most beautiful interiors have been preserved, including a Marble Hall, a Golden Hall and an Etrurian Room. The Golden Hall has the first Empire style interior in the Netherlands.

After a spectacular renovation, this building was opened in April 2016 as an event location. Via the landing stairs you enter the hall of the first floor. This marble-clad hall leads to the four spectacular reception rooms of the house: the Bay Window, the Etrurian Room, the Golden Room and the Daily Dining Room.

Behind the impressive facade is a marble clad hall that takes you to the different rooms. In Huis Barnaart you step into interiors with not only a colorful mix of contrasting colors but also fashionable and exotic elements. Each room has a unique appearance with character. That uniqueness can be perfectly implemented in your event: from catering to decoration and from modest farewell to lavish wedding or inspiring meeting.
